Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal provides enhanced protection against malicious content. System must be regularly scanned using the software to detect and delete these threats. This problem generally occurs if sound alert is disabled in 'Misc Settings' in the configuration window.
The solution to the problemFollow the instructions to resolve the issue when you are unable to hear alert on scan completion in Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition 1.06:
1Click 'Start' and select 'Programs'.
2Select 'Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal' and click 'Ad-Aware SE Personal'. (The 'Ad-Aware SE Personal' window appears.
3Click the 'Ad-Aware Configuration Window' icon on the top. (The 'General Settings' dialog box appears.)
4Click the 'Tweak' button. (The 'Tweak Settings' screen appears.)
5Expand 'Misc Settings'. (The 'Misc Settings' options appear.)
6Enable the 'Play sound at scan completion if scan locates critical objects' option.
7Click the 'Proceed' button.
Footnotes:First of all, in 'Misc Settings' in the configuration window, the sound alert should be enabled. This will give your system a real-time protection and also fix this issue.
