How to chat with a person located at the host machine using Symantec® Corporation’s pcAnywhere 7.5

Reason
With Symantec Corporation’s pcAnywhere 7.5, you are allowed to host multiple host sessions with one IP address and it can connect to the hosts via the Internet with multiple remote applications. You can chat with a person located at the host machine and easily communicate or exchange messages or instructions.
The solution to the problem

Follow the instructions to chat with a person located at the host machine using Symantec Corporation’s pcAnywhere 7.5:

    Open Symantec Corporation’s pcAnywhere.

    Select the ‘Action’ menu and select ‘Remote Control’.

  3. 3

    Open a remote control session with the desired host. (The ‘- pcAnywhere ‘ window appears, whereis the name of the host computer.)

  4. 4

    Click ‘Chat with Host operator’ on the ‘- pcAnywhere’ toolbar. (The ‘- pcAnywhere Chat’ window appears, whereis the name of the current chat session.)

  5. 5

    Type a message in the text box at the bottom of the ‘- pcAnywhere Chat’ window and press ‘Enter’. (The message appears in the screen area at the top of the ‘- pcAnywhere Chat’ window.)

Footnotes:

Alternatively, if you want to open ‘Remote Control’, you can also click ‘Remote Control’ on the Symantec Corporation’s pcAnywhere toolbar. The host operator will see the message and can respond to the remote user by typing a message in the text box at the host computer.
