Microsoft Office Word 2007 crashes while trying to start in Windows XP

Reason
This error may be caused because of incompatible Works Suite add-in for Microsoft Word 2007 or when ‘Send to Mail’ Recipient button is added to the Quick Access Toolbar and set Microsoft Outlook Express as the default e-mail client.

The solution to the problem

Follow the instructions to resolve the problem when Microsoft Office Word 2007 crashes while trying to start in Windows XP:

    Click ‘Start’ and then click on ‘All Programs’.

    Click on ‘Microsoft Office’ and then click on ‘Microsoft Office Word 2007’.

    Click on ‘Customize’ tab.

    In ‘Customize Quick Access Toolbar’ list, click on ‘Send to Mail Recipient’.

  5. 5

    Click on ‘Remove’.

In order to get rid of the problem when Microsoft Office Word 2007 crashes while trying to start in Windows XP, you must simply not add the ‘Send to Mail Recipient’ button to the ‘Quick Access Toolbar’ and set ‘Microsoft Outlook Express’ as the default e-mail client on your system.
