Microsoft Internet Explorer add-ons are software components. While visiting a website, Internet Explorer add-ons may be downloaded automatically, or a prompted to be downloaded. You can enable the add-ons feature in Windows XP Service Pack 2 to enhance the performance and functionality of your system.

The solution to the problem

Follow the instructions to enable the add-ons feature in Windows XP Service Pack 2:

    Select ‘Start’, click ‘Programs’.

    Click ‘Internet Explorer’. (The ‘Internet Explorer’ window appears.)

  3. 3

    Click the ‘Tools’ menu and click ‘Manage Add-ons’.(The ‘Manage Add-ons’ dialog box with the list add-ons appears.)

  4. 4

    Click the name of the add-on.

  5. 5

    To enable the add-on, select the ‘Enable’ option from the ‘Settings’ group.

    Click ‘OK’.
