Unable to display the volume icon on system tray in Windows Vista.
With the Windows interface sometimes removes the volume icon from the system tray because of excess of applications already running in the background.
The solution to the problemFollow the instructions to get the Volume icon on system tray in Windows Vista.
1Click 'Start' and click 'Control Panel'.
2Click 'Appearance and Personalization'.
3Click 'Taskbar and Start Menu'.
4Click the 'Notification Area' tab.
5From the 'System icons' group, select the 'Volume' check box.
6Click the 'Apply' button.
Footnotes:If you are still not able to enable the volume icon on the system tray, make a check of the sound card and devices installed on your system.
