Timescaled project helps to create a COM add-in for Microsoft Project that allows you to export and graph time-scaled data into Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Excel allows you to easily analyze timescaled project data.

The solution to the problem

Follow the instructions to analyze Timescaled project data in Microsoft Excel:

    On the ‘View’ menu, point to ‘Toolbar’, and then click ‘Analysis’.

    On the ‘Analysis’ toolbar, click the ‘Analyze Timescaled Data in Excel’ button.

    On the ‘Analyze Timescaled Data in Excel – Step 1 of 5′ dialog box, select the ‘Entire Project’ option button and then click ‘Next’.

    On the ‘Analyze Timescaled Data in Excel – Step 2 of 5′ dialog box, in the available fields window, click the fields you want to analyze and click ‘Add’. Repeat this step until all of the fields have been selected and then click ‘Next’.

Footnotes:

The whole procedure guides you to export timescaled data for the entire project to a graph in Microsoft Excel. While clicking the fields you want to analyze, you can only select data of two unit types to perform this procedure.
