High-tech services for seniors by Apple and IBM
IBM and Apple have joined hands to provide high-tech services to seniors in Japan.
Senior citizens make 25% of the total populace in Japan. Together in collaboration with Japan Post Group, they will work towards the improvement of the quality of life for senior citizens through specially designed iPads preloaded with apps and analytics software designed by IBM.
Japan Post Group’s huge customer base will come in handy for this initiative. The aim is to provide alerts and reminders for medication, exercise and diet, community activities, grocery shopping and more. IBM will provide the security analytics and device management through its cloud services.
