Detailed Features of Canon PowerShot G3
- Image Quality
This third generation digital camera is equipped with a compact 4X optical zoom and has a focal length of 7.2 to 28.8mm along with aperture range of f2.0 to f3.0. The ultra fast optical zoom lens of the Canon PowerShot G3 provides interesting close-ups and the DIGIC processor provides a much better color reproduction. The Histogram Playback and High Precision color white balance provides you with stunning results.
- Focusing Modes
There are three focusing modes in the Canon PowerShot G3. FlexiZone AF/AE, manual focus and AEB/ Focus Bracketing. The Canon PowerShot G3 has 345 scrollable auto focus points, which can be selected individually from P, Av, TV, M or C modes when in the FlexiZone AF/AE mode.
- Scene Modes
The Canon product provides four different scene modes like Portrait, Landscape, Night Portrait and Movie mode. Improvements have been made to the Movie mode of the G3 digital camera, which increased the recording time. The image quality in the VGA mode has also been improved. The recording time will depend on the speed of the CF card used in the camera.
- Neutral Density Filter
Normally, in bight conditions, a slow shutter speed is required. The Neutral Density Filter of the Canon PowerShot G3 reduces the amount of light reaching the sensor without affecting the color balance much.
- RAW mode
The RAW mode of the Canon PowerShot G3 digital camera allows you to obtain the original image data and record directly from the CCD without any image processing. Before saving the image or transferring it to a PC, you can always alter and set parameters of image with the RAW mode.
- Continuous Shooting Mode
The ‘Speed Priority’ mode is very ideal for shooting top quality shots at a high speed. But for a larger number of shots at a slower speed, the Canon digital camera offers ‘quantity priority’ mode.
- Orientation Sensor
To detect the orientation of the camera, a tiny sensor has been equipped with the Canon PowerShot G3. A small camera icon displays in the shooting window of the camera which indicates whether you are in a Landscape mode or in the Portrait mode.
- Direct Print
The Canon PowerShot G3 is compatible with all the Canon Direct Print printers. So, you just have to connect the camera with the printer, select the image you want to print and it will be done in just a few moments.
The Canon PowerShot G3 is a great camera with many good features. You can always try your hands on this digital camera and start your photographic expedition with ease.
