Question

How to configure SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 in Internet Explorer?

Reason
SSL stands for “Secure Sockets Layer.” It is a method for encrypting data. SSL operates at the lowest level of a network connection, the socket, so it can be used simultaneously with high-level protocols such as HTTP or FTP.

The solution to the problem

Follow the instructions to configure SSL 2.0 in your Internet browser:

  1. 1

    Click ‘Tools’

  2. 2

    Select ‘Internet Options’

  3. 3

    Click the ‘Advanced’ tab.

  4. 4

    Navigate to the ‘Security’ section

  5. 5

Ensure the ‘Use SSL 2.0′ and ‘Use SSL 3.0′ checkboxes are selected.

Footnotes:

To configure your Internet browser, you need to click ‘Tools’. Select ‘Internet Options’. Click the ‘Advanced’ tab. Navigate to the ‘Security’ section. Ensure the ‘Use SSL 2.0′ and ‘Use SSL 3.0′ checkboxes are selected.
